Gingham Plaid

Gingham, the checkered plaid that seems to instantly conjure up idillic images of a picnic under an old oak tree, is the print of the summer, and I’m obsessed. It’s making appearances not only in clothing this season but also in the storefront windows of Diesel, dishes, and of course the traditional red & white tablecloth. Here are some of my favorite gingham finds:

Gingham Plaid Melamine PlatesI can’t get over these melamine plates!¬†Perfect for outdoor dining, the appropriately named “Portland Picnic Plates” are available at the Curiosity Shoppe. I haven’t ordered mine yet but it’s a safe bet that I will soon!

Fog Linen from Japan has a wide variety of linen products including clothing, tablecloths, napkins, towels, and bedding. My favorite are these gingham plaid kitchen towels available in 3 colors (as well as many others in different prints).
